Situation: A portal used by a federal space agency to store and share scientific papers and studies for peer review was poorly organized and overwhelming to use.

Data Collection: Perform an exhaustive heuristic analysis on every aspect of the software, so that the design team could approach the feature set and use cases with a clear understanding of the issues.

Analysis & Insights:  My analysis brought key problems to light in the original design, and highlighted where the design most failed to meet usability design standards.

Deliverables:  I led a dozen scientists, engineers, high level-stakeholders, and a UX Design team of 3 through the foundational design challenges.
